Your Invitation Awaits: Kingdom Series P.2

When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
On hearing this, Yeshua said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
- Matthew 9: 11-13
The kingdom invitation is sent to the broken, the burdened, those judged as immoral by self-righteous religious zealots; the invitation to heaven's kingdom is sent to people like you and me.

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I Am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
- Matthew 11: 12, 28-30
Violence will continue to surround the kingdom and violent people will continue to raid kingdom citizens.

But Yeshua grants rest, is gentle and humble in heart, and promises rest for the souls of the faithful.

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”
Yeshua knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters.
- Matthew 12: 25-28, 30
Yeshua declares the kingdom to have come upon the earth!

The kingdom came with power, authority, righteousness and with miracle upon miracle affirming its message.

The kingdom of heaven came with humility not arrogance, with love not judgment, with peace not strife, and with continual love and blessings towards those who didn't accept the invitation, not with “convert or else” nor compulsion nor payment of tax and subjugation.

The kingdom of heaven is about light and righteousness... and you are invited.
