Friends, Family And Love

What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.
- Proverbs 19: 22
We need each other.

People need people.

A solitary experience is a life half-lived, and 'half' is stating it generously.

God gave Eve to accompany Adam, although Adam had a bunch of animals and a vast garden to keep him busy.

And when our humanity causes friction between one another, this isn't cause to separate or not return in the work of loving one another.

This is when the “unfailing love” mentioned in the verse from Above means that much more.

Where then is the Source of love; where a love that never fails can be found?
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command.
- John 15: 12-14
We have a daily opportunity to experience the unfailing love God established for us with the people we encounter every day.

Imagine a world where each human being is firstly considering the human being near them, rather than themselves.

Imagine a world where this approach to others continues past the family, tribe, village, town, city, county, state, country and continent.

Consider the stranger, perhaps you've been told they are your enemy, is your friend waiting to befriend you, your brother waiting to embrace you as his own.

Consider the people you see on more than occasion; there is no coincidence they are in your life.

It may be the workplace, it may currently be school, or it may be through another way you come across familiar faces often.

These are the people God has placed on your path, the journey called your life.

These are strangers waiting to be friends waiting to be family.

Be the friend, the loving family member, the instrument God uses to make His love known.

Although relatives may become strangers, friends shall become friends and friends shall be family.
