Moderate Islam

Is there such a thing as moderate Islam?

Yes; wherever the example of Muhammad is not followed.

What is argued today as 'extreme' and 'radical' Islam is actually the imitation of Muhammad.

Is this a hostile criticism by this article's author against Muslims as a whole?

No.

These are facts according to source, connecting past and present realities.

This 2017 news article about Mosul, Iraq, mentions “Others bore the marks of IS’ [Islamic State's] brutal enforcement of its radical version of Islamic law”.

The article mentions Islamic State's violence against civilians as a radical version of Islam.

However, the Quran teaches: “their hands and feet be cut off” (al-Maida (5) 33) and “smite them above the neck” (al-Anfal (8) 12).

The context is war and justice, as argued by scholars of history.

This is correct.

Are believers in God, those at peace and submitting to God, to participate in war or commit violence?

Are believers to execute justice?

According to Messiah, no.

According to Muhammad, yes.

Are both correct?

God's manner separating chaff from wheat, yes.

To claim revealing God's heart and will, no.

Saudi Arabia, recognized by western cultures, still beheads and cuts off hands of civilians in the 21st century... as was done in 7th century Arabia.

Calling ISIS 'radical' is incorrect.

Is violence 'legitimate' when done by a group of men behind the cloak of 'government' or 'religion'?

This is the argument of men from below.

To argue any different would be to ignore facts from the past and today.

Have western governments committed violence upon civilians over secular and religious matters?

Yes.

Is there such a teaching in the Gospel or from Messiah?

No.

Were such religious manners found among Christians?

Yes.

Why?

Not all people follow Messiah, but men.

Not all people honor God, but men.
