Stopping Vanderlizum (sic)

van·dal·ism ( ˈvandlˌizəm )

- action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property

What is interesting about every new twisted false teaching that arises is that the aim and method is nothing 'new' but simply a repeating of an ancient pattern.

The only new things are the labels and arguments, perhaps a rephrasing of terminology, but the discord and division produced from such teachings is the same, feeding on man's fear, arrogance, pride and innate fallibility of men to redeem themselves.

New teachings arise all too often, but one can identify the false from the true quite easily.

If a teaching leads you to separate from any other human being, or group of people, according to exterior judgments, you may be believing a lie.

If a teaching causes you to take pride in the external things, like skin color, heritage, a perceived identity, a nationality, a particular doctrine or similar banalities, then you may be following ancient lies manufactured as modern truths.

The list of false teachings and dead-end paths is too lengthy to identify them all, and doing so may cause some to fall into further division, for an individual truly isn't comprised of their group affiliation no matter how convoluted they may be at present time.

The litmus test in separating the false from the truth is quite simple and short.

Does what you believe cause you to love other people who may look different from you?

If so, you may be on the Path of love and light.

Does your particular belief allow you hate others for any justifiable reason?

You may currently be fooled and following contrived ideas supported by man's faulty logic; not seeing the love and light that Life has revealed.

Regarding the above image, the “police” is the One who sees the hearts and minds of His creation.

“911” is the prayer hotline reaching the ears of the Almighty.

“Vanderlizum”(sic) is the destruction what is private, which is your heart, mind and soul.

We Are Poured Out Daily

I've learned, once again a repetitive lesson, that in order to reach others, one's heart needs to be revealed.

How is it possible to reveal one's heart?

Be honest.

Honest with where you've been, what you've done, and what things still come across your heart and mind.

This approach cannot be unleashed at random or at once... but can be navigated as a conversation and / or relationship grows.

This depends on how deep my new or old friends are willing to go in any given conversation.

It depends on the level of depth I can share my past trespasses, my past shortcomings, and those thorns which are still pervasive.

This aim is to relate, to objectify our shared humanity.

It is when one is willing to open up with what may be possibly used against us in the future that another heart may be reached and touched.

Yet not every heart will respond to a heartfelt message, and this too is also a lesson waiting to be learned.

Interpretation has a lot to do with how each of us understands the Gospel's message.

Although the message has not changed, the place where the individual is in their life does ( hopefully ) change.

Like the pealing back of an onion, so does the Word of God peal back our heart, to expose what He intends to expose, and at a proper time, so we are not overwhelmed or left hopeless.

We can be used as an instrument in forwarding the message; a living sacrifice, a living stone, an example of His redemption.

And we do this not to boast in any supposed strength we may now have, but to express His strength in our weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

This is one way to attach a living example of His Word coming to life in our being.
Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have begun to reign—and that without us! How I wish that you really had begun to reign so that we also might reign with you! For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings. We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world—right up to this moment.

The Order Of The Spice

When a king, kingdom, or empire has influence over a realm, they issue their own brand of money (credit).

The term credit is from the Latin language, meaning he / she / it believes.

Interesting, isn't it?

It it written “Abram believed the Lord, and He credited to him as righteousness.”

An order is established by making lawful payment acceptable in an 'official' currency.

Laws or decrees are passed to make certain all things are 'paid' in this particular money / currency.

People employed in any given government, in any given realm, is motivated by the fact that the currency they receive in payment is good everywhere they go and is useful for rent, to make purchases, to conduct trade, etc.

It is no surprise the United States' currency, the U.S. dollar, is the world's reserve currency.

The rise of its influence is evidence of the leverage the U.S. has had for many decades, and has continued to exude the world over.

'Reserve' in terms of it being the backstop to all other currencies of the several nations, and the sole currency in the exchange of certain goods; this is where the term 'petrodollars' is derived.

When money is exported, what does that do?

Doesn't it cause a demand for more money from those places it reaches?

Money, then, is a product of the U.S... or the entity which issues the currency, the private for-profit corporation called the Federal Reserve.

And when interest is demanded for the issuance of this currency, the term interest is simply another word for tribute.

And tribute is what kings demand.

Isn't it interesting that money is an idea?

Prior to the invention of money, one would trade real things in exchange for real things.

But now, an idea, printed on a piece of paper or as a digital blip in the virtual world, is traded for real things.

Phenomenal to put it mildly.

The purpose of the central bank of the U.S. in issuing debt is, I think, to continue building upon the labor force of the world, and the products derived thereof... as well as other aims.

This central bank has removed the sovereignty of many once independent nations.

Most recently was El Salvador.

I used to argue about the 'evils' of such practices, but instead of calling something that can be highly controversial and misunderstood 'evil', I'd rather simply attempt to clarify, define and highlight events and outcomes... and let the reader draw their own conclusions.

Much how, to those who believe, Pharaoh's existence had a purpose in Israel's 400+ years of slavery, so does this world-wide system of buying and selling Today have a purpose.

One other interesting highlight is that the central bank system is, as I read it, very reminiscent of the fifth measure found in the list of demands of the Communist Manifesto.

A sentence from the article Marx's Vision of Communism: The First Stage, by professor Bertell Ollman states:
“As a way of life and organization, it has traits in common with both capitalism and full communism and many which are uniquely its own.”
[use “control-f and find “centralization” to read the fifth measure and Ollman's perception]

This isn't shared to startle anyone, but to simply again forward definitions and develop understanding of what something is, may be, or could become.

What would be the outcome if the U.S. Congress and Senate desired to flood the world's market with the U.S. Dollar?

How did Rome establish their presence and legitimacy if not by demanding the use of their coin to the outer reaches or their empire?

There is much to say when speaking to global economics.

As for globalization, hasn't that been the plan of any man who have desired to have power, honor and control?

Wasn't this Alexander the Macedonian's plan?

Hasn't this ambition been a constant ambition found among the kings of the earth?

Is this by coincidence?

Perhaps He who directs and programs men's hearts has a bigger idea in mind.

An idea that many people, both believers and doubters, still do not understand and / or are fearful of.

Doesn't America influence the entire world through economic, military and cultural means?

Some interpret this as very bad, others very good, some both good and bad.

However one would define America's influence, its empire has spread the world over and continues to influence peoples and nations, now also via media ideas, perceptions and identities.

The Soviet Union crumbled from within and became the Russia Federation.

Every central and south American country has been influenced and changed as well.

Look at Turkey after the fall of the Ottoman empire.

What has also been exported, sadly, is the same depravity with societal loosening, slightly masqueraded as "freedoms”... the same trappings of man that toppled Rome and other empires in their time.

This has caused other places in the world to also become depraved ( aside from their own forms of depravity ).

Men pursue their goals by any means necessary and available.

This is a reoccurring theme throughout time, for it is a basic human attribute; one of humanity's fallibilities.

A program set in motion.

To readers of this blog, both domestic and international; to favor the only program you've know your entire life is to give an answer as to why people support the only tutelage they've known their entire lives (for they know nothing different).

Yet God has always, is now, and always will be in absolute control of all things... to bring forth His good will.

This too is a constant revelation among those God calls His children.

In this, despite world developments we may not fully understand, we can hope in and have our hearts settled in peace.

Return To The Past And Plow The Future

Many are the options available to use, what is Today considered, untraditional home building methods.

But these methods are actually ancient and as natural as can be.

Energy efficiency is a motivation.

Natural materials another motivation.

Using natural landscapes to build homes is a solution to inefficient 'modern' building methods.

The U.S. government seems to also be aware of this natural effort.

With the onset of renewable and unlimited sources of energy, keeping up with energy demands of Today's modernly technical society is within reach.

And when considering food sources and renewable food growing methods, think of how the natural world has flourished prior to man's attempt to capitalize on food production as a business.

And “what about water?” you may ask.

How about pulling it from the air?

God has already provided the methods to embrace the natural world, since we are made from natural ingredients.

We Live To Rise

Almost all cultures of the world have absorbed the testimony of Christ.

It is inescapable, just as God willed His message of grace to be.

People still deny, are being taught to deny, yet God stills the hearts and minds of those who will be found in His grace and love eternal.

Found in art, government, business and society is the notion described in this song's lyrics:

What if all you understand
Could fit into the center of our hand?
Then you found it wasn't you
Who held the sum of everything you knew
We're insane but not alone,
You hold on and let go
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise
Like the sun (Son) we will live and die and then ignite again
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise again
What if the one thing that I missed
Was everything I need to pass the test?
And if I fail what happens then?
Can I still count on You as a friend?
We're insane but not alone,
You hold on and let go
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise
Like the sun (Son) we will live and die and then ignite again
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise again, again, again, again.
Warm my face
Warm your face
Warm my face
Warm your face
Warm my face
Warm your face
Warm my face
Warm your face
Warm my face
Warm your face
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise
Like the sun (Son) we will live and die and then ignite again
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise
Like the sun (Son) we will live and die and then ignite again
Like the sun (Son) we will live to rise again, again.

A Big Scientific WHAT IF

The scientific 'truth' that is taught according to what men dig up from the earth and reason in hypotheticals, building upon earlier hypotheticals, has mankind believing they are descended from apes / monkeys of some kind, and much earlier than these, a single-celled amoeba.

The argument is logical while using reason in bridging the gaps that archeological discovery cannot speak to.

We must always remember that speaking from a certain narrative leads the follower to always think through that particular narrative in arriving at conclusions.

For those who believe the narrative of creation, sans fixed time periods, the believer adds new knowledge and understanding to this particular narrative.

As both the creation and scientific narratives agree in large part to how life came to be on earth ( ocean and land animals preceding humans ), why can't other places in these narratives find agreement?

“What if” some of these believed-to-be humanoids were another type of animal, conceding to the evidence of evolution, and the human of today being the final arrival of life who, as we all agree to, has thrived and triumphed over all creation?!

What if, those humanoids who are very close to modern man's genome ( according to DNA ), are simply humans who've gone astray?

Men claim to have dug up what they believe to be early humans, estimating hundreds of thousands to millions of years in timelines.

Yet, the timing of carbon dating doesn't seem to be a solid and predictable measurement, thus possibly unscientific according to the definition of science.

But who can blame men trying to understand the world around them by all means necessary?

Some of these humanoids were very small in stature, some hardly reaching four feet in height.

Other humanoids were quite large, with different skull features.

These features, being obviously distinguishable, have allowed men to label and categorize humanoids according to their observations and hypothesis.

Is it possible that what have been considered “Neanderthals” and others became depraved according to the rebellious descendants of those who decided to approach life on their own terms, leaving behind the natural order established by the earliest communities of humans?

Science grants many insights regarding the past, albeit with a hypothetical narrative filling-in what cannot be storied from archeology.

Dirt and fossils do not speak, but it is man's observation of dirt and fossils which leads men to reason meaning according to what they know and believe previously.

People have come to understand that environment has much to do with human development, as does culture and society.

Considering the product of a loving home, with emotional and psychological order, juxtaposed to a home vacant of love and constant irrational disorder.

Historically speaking, don't we see the outcome of these two extremes in producing very different types of societies, cultures and peoples?

The health sciences teach us that a poor diet produces altered human conditioning.

Perhaps embattled feuds between tribes, extreme climates, extreme landscapes and atypical diets may have produced an atypical human being over certain time periods.

Is it possible the further far and away any people would meander from earlier tribal gatherings, their deviations contributed to what are labeled as unrecognizable humans today?

These deviations now being labeled in a modern context as any variety of hominoid, or hypothesized to be a different specie with similarities to human beings?

A Man Is Gifted A Glimpse

I heard an amazing testimony of the supernatural recently.

An older friend of mine happened to share an amazing experience he didn't anticipate.

16 years ago, my friend was to undergo a quadruple bypass.

The day prior to the operation, he was visited by a tall Catholic nun.

My friend did not grow up religious and did not think there was such a thing as 'God'.

He was, however, quite afraid and anxious regarding the surgery he was to experience.

The nun asked my friend if he would allow her to pray for him and the upcoming surgery.

He reluctantly acquiesced to her offer, figuring he had nothing to lose.

To his amazement, he recalls seeing a stained glass image of a man.

He recalls an overwhelming sense and feeling of pure love emanating from this presence.

He was holding back tears as he shared the experience with me, adding that whenever he remembers the event, the same love and light overwhelms his senses and brings tears to his eyes.

The experience had a profound affect on my friend, causing him to consider his life and his prior doubts.

Hearing his testimony reaffirms the understanding that God grants every person an opportunity to know that they are not alone in the world; that there is a God, and that this God is the very definition of love.

I wonder if my friend saw something similar to what has been testified to in the past:

Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be His waist up He looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down He looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded Him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around Him.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
- Ezekiel 1: 26-28

Hate Is A Lie, Love Is The Truth

Black history, like many other histories, can become a narrow narrative and not an honest rendition of the past's journey through life.

The pursuit of identity and replacing stolen values leads some people to believe hateful and rebellious messages.

Men have puffed themselves up desiring to correct the past wrongs done to them / their heritage... but in which manner can one correct past wrongs?

It is human to fight fire with fire, to respond to hate with hate.

It is also human to 'feel' the call to use any manner necessary to defend oneself, whether being attacked verbally or physically.

So it is no surprise when we witness and hear all kinds of less than perfect occurrences in life.

But what is surprising is that we, as individuals, have a choice in “how” we respond to what we see as darkness.

If hate and indifference is served to you, it would be a natural response to serve hate and indifference back.

And has history has taught us, these typical responses simply forward the hate, indifference, strife and eventual war between parties.

Conflict and war has been fought for ages between people of different religions, different ethnic groups, different cultures and different skin tones.

Some may argue that responding to hate with love, and to injury with forgiveness, is weak.

But is it really?

We know from personal experience the difficulty it is to love the unlovable, to forgive the unforgivable, to see past the humanity and love the person.

And what is most difficult to accept is how the initial pain of humility strikes your pride.

Yet, the peace realized when this resolve takes hold in your heart, no one can achieve outside of love, humility and forgiveness.

No peace treaty between peoples, no reparation for past wrongs, can mend a broken heart that is not led to be at peace with itself, and if grace allows, with the outside world.

The beast one may desire to conquer is not the one people may be misled to blame.

If you judge according to skin tone, to heritage, to ancestry and think you see clearly your enemy, you may be very confused... and have possibly been misled.

If you follow hearts which proclaim such madness as linked below, you, in effect, have been following the embodied enemy:

A man denies Christ.

A man proclaims himself a christ.

Pray for the souls and love the person of such men, but do not be misled to hate according to such teachings.

Such teachings may tickle your ear by sharing much information to fill a void, while also promising a false justice by-way of racism, violence, hatred and indifference.

Yet, the considerate heart knows that responding to racism with racism is to be swallowed by the enemy.

There is no true victory when you become just like your perceived enemy.

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Yeshua is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- 1 John 2: 22-23

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Yeshua Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Yeshua is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
- 1 John 4: 2-3

Reaching Across Perceived Barriers

This was a private response to two gentlemen who identify with the Sufi Order of the Muslim religion.

One is the assistant, and the other man is an author and speaker to whom this message was addressed.

I heard the author on the radio one morning and thought about contacting him to ask a few questions regarding his particular doctrine and worldview.

My question was regarding peace, force, defense and whether he believed as the Christ taught in staying at peace before all situations, for he mentioned such concepts on the radio.

In a previous correspondence, I pointed to the lack of evidence showing Christ to support or teach violence or self-defense.

The author responded with the event in the temple when Christ ran the money changers and animals out.

The following was my response to that example that is believed to show 'force'.

This response has, to-date, gone unanswered:

My intention in contacting you is not to begin a divisive argument between our points of view.

Our faith in the One and Only Almighty and Eternal God should be a unifying factor, so I hope you read my words in the light of my desire to find a mutual understanding firstly, and secondly to clarify some possible misunderstandings in our respective faiths despite the interpretations and doctrines of men regarding the faith in God.

I believe human beings have more in common when they view each other as human beings, and not according to their identities, or nationality, or ethnic background or religious differences.

To respond to the event in the temple; whether Jesus actually whipped people as it says the animals, is up to speculation perhaps.

If one would suppose Jesus whipped the people, we should also then consider Jesus didn't use or call for the use of a physical sword.

He did not call for what the law required: death for causing God's Holy Name to be profaned (Leviticus 22: 1-2 / Leviticus 24: 16 / Leviticus 26: 2).

Jesus didn't ask the disciples to also act, although "zeal for your house will consume me" (Psalm 69: 9), like Phineas son of Eleazar did in his zeal for God's honor (Numbers 25: 6-13) by drawing the sword and striking sinners down.

Neither is there record in the Talmud, the Gospels, the letters nor secular sources of Christ doing anything further.

Christ didn't respond with lawful judgment nor use of the sword, other than speaking the sword coming forth from the mouth (Ephesians 6: 17).

He responded with mercy (as mentioned in Maryam 19:21) and grace (1 Timothy 1: 13-14), with warning and with the fulfillment of prophecy.
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
- John 1: 17
Jesus' actions in this event allows for further consideration of the nature and manner Jesus acted and to my reason for reaching out to you, my dear Ibrahim.

A question I'd like to now ask you is;

If Jesus is believed to be a prophet by those identifying with Islam, should Jesus' example and teaching be considered and obeyed?

This question leads into the heart of what I desire to mention:

The absence of physical response on the part of Jesus' disciples in defending themselves during and after Jesus' ministry.

Both primary and secular sources show no self defense, and no force on the part of the disciples in the effort to spread the Gospel message, for three centuries after Jesus... instead they were killed, persecuted, and we don't see or read evidence of their physical efforts in self defense (what men would consider to be a right or a just and justifiable response).

Regarding the incident when Peter used a sword in the Garden of Gethsemane; was not Peter immediately chastised by Jesus for doing so and another teaching / warning was mentioned?
In that account, we read of another prophecy being fulfilled ("he was counted among the transgressors" - Isaiah 53: 12 / Luke 22: 37).

I mention this in case this event would be mentioned.

It looks to me that certain men in the 4th century church hierarchy began to exposit the desires of politics and the state's influence when the Roman state adopted the faith and began to forward a religion.

It is in the 4th century we can read about dubious doctrines which brought into disrepute the teaching of peace and love I am conveying.

This man writing to you rejects and condemns such doctrines of men which have brought contempt onto the teaching of righteousness that has been revealed, the same one which you can read for yourself.

I believe God is fully capable of bringing justice on the wicked and protection onto those He looks over without me thinking I have the right, despite my zeal for God, to get my hands dirty, and so dishonor my God (what the entirety of Matthew 5 speaks about).

I share this sentiment not as a boast, but in faithfulness to what I read in the Gospel's message; the brotherhood of mankind being brought into the kingdom of heaven Jesus preached.

It is this reality I'd like to bring to your attention, and ask:

Is there room in your personal view and interpretation of Islam, or is there any evidence of men who align themselves within the Islamic / Muslim identity, of having expressed the same attributes of restraint of self defense / force and instead faith in God's judgment?

Is there, within any Islamic school of thought, the teaching to resolve the carnal and logical desire of self defense and protection from harm into the hands of God / Allah alone, as Jesus taught and the early disciples exemplified?

The message of peace and love, for even those considered 'enemies,' is found in the following citations:

Matthew 5: 38-48

Ephesians 6: 10-17

Romans 12: 1-2

Romans 12: 17-21

Peace be with you!

May blessings follow you and may our God's grace and mercy hold you forevermore!

Is Voting Of Spiritual Consequence?

Since the human being is fallible, voting or choosing someone to speak on your behalf will always render failure to some degree ( a fallible person, making mistakes, not being perfect, etc ).

This is why people have the choice, or semblance of a choice according to one's heart and conscience, to obey and follow the Christ or obey and follow themselves, other human beings ( which again, are fallible ), etc.

What is interesting is how when Christ walked the earth, there was no such thing as 'voting' for those under oppression or subject to Rome ( that time's empire ).

Jesus, as was the entire Jewish community, was born under oppression and had no 'choice' in some matters regarding their daily lives... and those who did represent the interests of the people, the religious leaders / local political positions, were hired hands, only protecting their lofty positions and being hypocrites, beholden to Roman rule out of fear and hopelessness.

What has changed since then?

Didn't the faith permeate that time's empire?

Didn't many influential believers find themselves in positions of power, both privately and publicly ( public office ).

What was the outcome of the rise of the faithful into the mechanisms of the Roman state?

Laws changed... one law in particular was outlawing the killing of Christians by both the state and individuals.

Looking back at how the kingdom of heaven, having come in Christ and now existing among the believers by way of His Holy Spirit, does the believer not see how God's kingdom has conquered the kingdoms of the world... and continues to do so?

So, to equate not 'voting' or not choosing someone to continue the work of altering, changing, building and constructing the kingdoms of men until they have become the kingdom of the Lord ( Revelation 11: 15 ), is to not see what God has done for the past 2,000 years, nor to realize the believer's role in serving his fellow man; both the believer AND the heathen / pagan / non-believer... in both private and public life... as did the believers in the first and subsequent centuries!

Do not many who are reading this go to work every day for others who are not perfect, who may have very different interests than yourself, or believe in God differently or in no god at all??

Do you have a choice or not in your interaction with your boss, your company or your associates?

Does not your voice allow you Today to speak what is on your heart?

Since we are in the world to affect the world as living sacrifices, why is there an idea that being on the sidelines is exactly what God wants you to do?

Is your calling to be the example of Christ for others ( letting your light shine ) or simply a silent clone of ineffectiveness?

To choose to allow wickedness to flourish, in deciding not to at least put one's hand to the plow in the manner you've been made ( either as an honorable statesman, a laborer, a preacher or a the person who may cast the final vote that will correct the direction of things )... is to be faithless, I think, and not see what God has established for you.

I think choosing to be silent or inept, is to be silent when Christ would speak, or to be slumbering when you are to be in the field planting seed.

Choosing to correct waywardness is to choose life, to choose community ( like the book of Acts depicts ), to choose peace and unity, not war and strife.

It is no mistake that Rome eventually capitulated to the faith... but will the faith now capitulate to today's Rome?

Christ was not pursuing a political career, yet His message changed the political landscape and continues to do so... because the message changes the hearts of men who hear it... and such men are found in all social circles, even the high public offices of the land.

Consider how the voices of Joseph and Daniel affected the imperial heathens they served?

Joseph and Daniel didn't simply stay at home or remained silent... they served to their fullest capacity, even as slaves!

Men have been granted choice in this life... so choose wisely who you have been granted the choice to work in the upper mechanisms of your society.

You can also make choices to have at least the Word of God represented in public, as a historically significant reality... and we who believe know what affect simply reading the Word can have on our hearts.

Continue to build upon what God has allowed and has established.

This is why the vote is a private undertaking and exit polls ( if desired to be filled out ) do not always represent what the vote actually counts.

You do have the right to remain silent, and casting a silent vote, as lots were cast in the first and subsequent centuries, reveals God's will in all matters.

Amassing Treasure In Heaven

Yesterday I was told by a friend about a man he knew about growing up.

My friend is from a fairly small town in the southeastern part of the United States.

The man he is referring to was called “Can Man” by the locals.

This gentleman gathered aluminum cans to recycle.

My friend describes this man as what would be described as a recluse.

He was described to me as unkempt, 'poor' looking, and residing in a house resembling a shack.

Of the several churches in the area, only one would 'allow' this man to sit in the back during 'worship service.'

Nothing much was known about this man other than his daily activity of gathering used aluminum cans.

However, when he passed away and his will was found, many people were quite surprised.

The man left a small fortune in the amount of $7.8 million to that particular church.

During his time away from looking for aluminum cans to recycle, the man would study finance, economics and like subjects, investing his paltry income from recycling into millions of dollars.

I am not sure if the church did good with the money, or redistributed as the teaching of righteousness speaks to do so ( Acts 4: 32-37 ).

I found a similar story today in search of this man's identity, somewhat similar from another part of the world.

Consider these two examples when some people in society may be overlooked, or looked down upon.

Consider also what you would do different, either being one of these men or being a stranger to them, a passerby.

The message in the Word speaks differently to people who are at a different places in their heart, so the sharing of these passages is not an attempt to define or judge these two men, but to simply forward a truth regarding money and perceptions.

May your heart always choose what is according to Gods good will.

One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;
another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.
- Proverbs 13: 7

A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
- Proverbs 11: 18

Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
Yeshua replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” Then He said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
And He told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ’
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
- Luke 12: 13-21

Black In America; We Are Life; We All Matter

Please peruse the following links thoroughly to learn how, against insurmountable odds, by hope, faith and perseverance, men overcame what seemed impossible at the time.

Read the entire article about an early representative, Joseph Rainey, and his amazing life journey.

Read the long list of men who overcame slavery, social injustice and social indifference to gain for themselves, and many who identify with them, a better standing in society.

Search also the many online sources sharing inventions, efforts and accomplishments of people who focused their energy, mind and heart on making something of themselves, not allowing hatred or indifference depict their life's outcome.

As I was growing up, I desired to 'be' something exciting, or something that would garner attention and notoriety from others.

Sports athlete, musician, actor and many other very popular and seemingly exciting occupations were on my heart when I was younger.

As I began taking a closer look at life, and myself, I began to understand the reasons I was desiring to 'be' these things; mostly according to what others thought, believed and opined.

Some of the occupations I previously desired reflected my vanity and insecurity at that time; I was actually limiting myself because I believed some other vocations / occupations were either not “cool” enough or not exciting, besides having a limited vision regarding how far I could go or what I was capable of achieving.

I am not saying that any particular one of these occupations is dishonorable, worthless or meaningless.

What I am saying is that they, after much consideration, were not for me.

I am saying that for this man, after soul-searching and much consideration, I found that I had pursued certain vocations for the wrong reasons.

Such may not be the case for others, for we are all endowed with different gifts, talents and strengths.

It doesn't bother me I didn't become a great athlete, but for some, it may bother them greatly.

It doesn't bother me I am not some famous rock star or honored actor, but for some, not attaining such a goal would bother their heart.

The key is to have you heart in the right place, I think.

Know exactly why you pursue what you are pursuing.

Are you ONLY capable or able to become a ___________ (your ideal occupation) ?

What I am saying, and suggesting, is for the reader to pursue your ambitions according to a good heart.

Be open to a higher calling that may initially seem less amazing, or not as glamorous, but may be a higher calling when considered.

You may very well find yourself pursuing something that will make a greater and lasting impact beyond fads and the changing tastes of popular culture.

Remember, what are today termed “actors” were termed jesters and fools in times past.

I use this term as they were called, not as an insult, so you may consider the meanings of things.

There have been some very influential entertainers, but not every entertainer has impacted their community like a statesman, council member or school teacher can or has.

Also, not every statesman has been a positive influence in their community, as some actors may have been.

There have been many great entertainers, but not every entertainer has been an example of character and strength, like a parent, relative, pastor or social leader can.

There have been many athletes that have broken athletic records, but are they not simply playing a game, after all?

In the greater scope of things, what does a winning record for a game have to do with anything?

Perhaps one day, every “American” will not see themselves according to their ancestry, but their merits, their character and their contribution to the world, no matter how famous or infamous it may be.

Perhaps one day, every human being on earth, as a child of God, as a fellow relative of each other, will not see themselves according to their nationality, religion, ethnicity, and some exterior identity, but according to the magnificent creation they are... and in Whose image they've been fashioned.

Then the entertainer can appreciate the work and position of the statesman as the statesman will appreciate what the entertainer brings to light regarding life's challenges.

No More Paranoid Androids, Okay?

The news can be quite entertaining for me... and very distracting.

It causes me to pray for those suffering, those who have passed and even for the wicked.

I also ask the Lord to execute His judgment on the unrepentant wicked ( those He knows won't turn ).

I can sometimes become distracted by the noise of the news, the propaganda, the loud voices in media, those who are always selling, opining and fear-mongering.

The religious are also noisy, very opinionated about what certain words mean, constantly judging others by exterior perceptions or particular doctrines, while not knowing the hearts of men.

Every so often, as past blog articles show, I 'hear' something beyond the typical even among the noise.

Some words and phrases are obvious, while others that may speak of something else, yet still speaking to me according to what I believe and been gifted to understand.

Some messages remind me of my humanity, who I am without God; a lost and empty soul.

Memories of my former and rebellious self come to mind; resisting God by thought, word and action.

And I'm reminded of His new creation in me; His son by thought, word and action.

In popular music, I can sometimes 'hear' the Gospel; the message of love, faith and hope.

I can also 'hear' the warnings.

Judgment is inevitable for the accusers, the wicked and the enemies of the saints.

These come in all forms.

These are a part of all religious associations, and are those many today consider to be 'good' or 'motivational'.

Only He is the example to follow, to believe in and the One to absolutely obey in all things.

Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
When I am king, you will be first against the wall
With your opinion which is of no consequence at all
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
What's that...? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy
You don't remember
You don't remember
Why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head, man
Off with his head, man
Why don't you remember my name?
I guess he does....
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
That's it, sir
You're leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic, the vomit

Many Ways Confusing The WAY

Men have been taught by other men and are led to misplace their faith into very narrow doctrines, not realizing God's grace, God's love and the mystery of Christ in men.

Men misunderstand that the Way is lived by faith, focusing on loving God and people... not by adhering to religious rules and being a spiritual police officer to others.

There is a time to warn people of sin, and hell-fire and the consequences of disobedience to the Way of love... but when certain brands of the gospel are centered around fear, the Way is confused and warped.

God's sovereignty, what God has done, what God has built upon the earth and what God continues to do is unseen; religion becoming a consequence and people judging others according to group association.

When fear is used as a means to convert others, people shouldn't be surprised when hearers do not care to follow such ways that are empty of love.

Some are so legalistic ( “but the bible doesn't say such and such” ), so materialistic in their reasoning, they are practically hating those they are called to love by first condemning instead of leading with love.

These are captive to a teaching based on human logic.

Logic makes no sense of the teaching to “love your enemy”.

Such as these have little practical faith in God.

These fail to realize the manner God holds His invisible kingdom together and works through all people, teaching and admonishing His children via sheep and goats, not only those having pride in their particular brand of Christianity or pushing a doctrine they seem to worship as a god.

If the law is summarized by Christ as loving God with your entire being and loving and treating others as yourself...

If salvation is by grace ( God's choice ) outside of man's effort to save himself, while God also calls man to imitate Christ ( man's choice of obeying the Way of love )...

Where is the religious argument to be any other way other than being a loving example of Christ... even going as far as loving your enemy?

Let Your Light Pierce Darkness

Never underestimate the positive effect that a smile may have on another human being.

Your smile may be the only thing that means something to the viewer that day.

Have you ever noticed how someone's eyes brighten when a smile comes across their face?

The same brightness is projected from your eyes when your smile reflects your heart's love.

Never forget how powerful positive words may be; they make lasting difference in someone's life.

Some of the most encouraging words I've heard in my life came in a short sentence or two from the most unusual of places.

These positive phrases have helped guide me throughout the ebbs and flows of my life.

Just as we may be willing to give a kind word and smile to others, we must also be open to accepting such gifts from others.

Many times in my short life I have realized there have been certain individuals which had something to teach me.

Our friendship may have begun with a smile while visiting the same place of business time and time again, or by a simple expression regarding something one of us was wearing.

Many can be the reasons to make new friends.

What is quite paradoxical also is how, although some people may seem like a poison in our lives, these individuals also serve a purpose; there is something to be learned, still something good to be exchanged.

We exist to teach and learn lessons from one another, regardless if the approach is with love and kindness or spite and hatred.

If negative, perhaps we have reason to pray for their heart and their current state of mind, reflecting on how we can also have be negative and struggling, or consider how we've been the same way in times past.

If positive, we have reason to be grateful for the amazing ways light works in all of our lives and, amazed at the several ways we are encouraged by the simple things in life.

May you always be a blessing to your fellow human being.

Words Spoken Into The Future

It is always an interesting journey researching words, their origins, their various meanings from times past and in present times.

What is, and from where did, the term “caucus” come from?

Possibly one of the recent places the term “caucus” is used in a modern context is in the diary of John Adams (second president of the United States), dated 1763:
This day learned that the Caucas Clubb meets at certain Times in the Garret of Tom Daws... There they smoke tobacco till you cannot see from one End of the Garrett to the other. There they drink Phlip I suppose, and there they choose a Moderator, who puts Questions to the Vote regularly, and select Men, Assessors, Collectors, Wardens, Fire Wards, and Representatives are Regularly chosen before they are chosen in the Town...”
I emboldened the last portion of John's excerpt to highlight an interesting point.

Although the political term “caucus/caucuses” is spelled with a “u”, an earlier term “Caucasus” (spelled with an “a”) is a region known to be the ancient domain of Caucas, descendent of Japheth, one of three sons of Noah.

Regarding Noah, what was written many thousand of years prior to the world's historical outcome as we may understand it Today, this is the account:
He also said,
Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
May God extend Japheth’s territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”
- Genesis 9: 26-27

Considering how mankind spread over the earth, and by which tribes or ancestry this process has occurred, we can trace how and which peoples migrated, built civilizations, and what other efforts done according to evidence left in the dirt.

There is much left to be discovered, realized and understood Today in the new age, the Way of reconciliation and unity of all mankind under God's love in Christ.

Heading For The Exit

Organizations of men can develop into many forms.

Simply because an organization stands the test of time doesn't mean it is based on facts.

Force, manipulation, profit motive and many other factors sustain organizations of men beyond their inception.

Listen for a few minutes to this insightful interview regarding the son of an organizer who was very wealthy and influential.

This organization now goes to great lengths to protect itself and also advertise itself... most recently to over 100 million viewers during America's football “Super Bowl”.

I share this video as an example, not an attack to the people involved or subject to such an organization.

Many innocent people over the centuries have found themselves subject to organizations of men, whether they were governments, religions, businesses, or something else.

Yet, the motives are always exposed for what they are soon enough.

Many organizations of men have been built by force, manipulation and with a profit motive.

I can only recall one movement that was not built in this manner despite it, within a few centuries, also seeming to succumb to the human motive.

But not all who agree with this movement's inception also participate in the duplicity; what all other organizations duplicate.

And although the human's failure in being perfect has polluted this movement a bit, the very sources of its inspiration are very difficult to find fault in.

The truth always speaks to one's heart.

This reaching into one's heart by the truth no organization can pervert or prevent.
