Love's Viewfinder

How you view the world around you is how you understand it.

The heart's condition and the mind's discipline determines how you 'see' the world.

If you lean more towards the pessimistic view of reality, you will most likely see things as half empty, as a shortcoming, as a disappointment.

The negative is easy to point out.

If you lean towards the optimistic paradigm, you may see things as half full, as works in progress.

You may be able to notice the good works in society, in people, maybe even in yourself.

Love is the beginning and end of all things.

It is through love that injury is healed, the trespass forgiven, the shortcoming filled, the broken heart repaired.

By viewing the world through the lens of love, the viewer can see the contribution of all living things and all good works.

Through the eyes of love, one can see all things purposed for a good reason.

Through love, a sober judgment of oneself and a gracious view of others is possible.

Love binds what is loose.

Love builds what is ruined.

Is love simply an emotion?

Does love last beyond the butterfly feeling in your stomach?

What is Love?
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
- 1 Corinthians 13: 3-8a
Love turns all things into One.
