Experts, Expert Opinions & Opinions

Whales, the largest sea creature...like the truth in a sea of opinions argued as true.

There are many difficult topics to discuss.

Difficult subjects are challenging to clearly write objectively without bias.

Part of my job is to encourage discussion throughout the world about typically dogmatized topics.

What topics are more divisive than God, religion, politics and money?

Not so divisive when talking with those who agree.

How easy is it to discuss identity and the variety of things being revisited and recast on the moral scale (like homosexuality, abortion, etc.)?

Easy only with likeminded audiences.

Yet these are the items humanity needs to discuss and resolve again.

I say again because they have already been resolved long ago, but some people have forgotten or desire not to agree.

One could argue that what I do is dogmatize any and all things I write about.

Perhaps this is so, perhaps this is not so.

I think the answer depends on who you ask, which would reveal where they stand and how they view the world.

Two people can fully agree on a single definition of God, or a religion's explanation on God, for example, and can sharply disagree when it comes to politics, money, etc. (and the same outcome can be realized by changing the agreeable variable).

Truth is self-evident.

The 'truth' is usually incontrovertible as the definition for “dogmatized” explains (read those definitions, please).

Truth cannot be changed into something else, but men have been attempting to do this since the very beginning...and Today is no different.

Does something cease to be true simply because many people do not believe or accept it as true?

No.

Truth sometimes cannot be adequately explained, understood or accepted by everyone.

One man's truth is another man's falsehood, and both are fully convinced in their minds and hearts.

It is the manner something truthful is explained that may cause further disagreement or confusion.

When searching for truth, agreeable ties can be realized only through the heart despite a common language and equal level of comprehension.

I don't think I try to come across as an expert in any particular subject matter, aside from being an expert in expressing my personal experiences and conveying the experiences others share with me.

The experts are those I occasionally cite, while other points I don't directly cite for various reasons.

Expert opinions are found all over the internet, or people arguing that they share expert opinions.

Not everyone is an expert in sharing / disseminating their thoughts or the perceptions of others.

Simply because someone is titled an 'expert' by a university or a group does not actually make them an expert.

Maybe they are 'experts' at simply regurgitate information, as do the parrots on the news or from many pulpits of various religious and government groups around the world.

The person who speaks things you agree with can be seen as an expert in your eyes, or that they are correct.

This is bias, and is a typical reinforcement of things previously believed to be true, or right.

This is how racism, prejudice, hatred and ignorance of truth continues to be forwarded one generation to another.

This is, however, also how self-evident truths are forwarded...until people begin to question and pose challenges.

This is how the natural order is being turned on its side.

What has always been understood as unnatural, confused and incompatible is now called normal, acceptable and healthy.

This is where expert opinions are derived; opinions convincing some who were previously experts.

The opinionated speak through their value set...yet isn't this what we all do?

If the value system someone grew up with was stealing, and the activity of stealing was never identified as 'stealing' but simply the routine in making a living, it is difficult to convince a new generation of thieves they are wrong, and that stealing is wrong.

Same goes for warring cultures and tribes that have always been fighting with their neighbors.

It is a way of life...their truth, although it may be unacceptable and uncivilized, unnatural and unjustified for others.

The murderer justifies their thought process and the reasons they killed.

So does the __________ (fill in what is politically unacceptable to challenge openly and publicly) justify their thought process and the reasons they do as they do.

For many, the truth is synonymous with their personal opinion, and vice versa...regardless of what experts say or those with expert opinions may explain.
