Modern-Day Miracles

Read Mark 16: 14-20

I was taught once when being part of a very dynamic and serious church group that miracles do not occur anymore.

I was taught that if anything is claimed to be a miracle (or having been a miracle) in the modern era, that it was not... and that it was, instead, a temptation from darkness.

I was taught that such things had passed along with other gifts as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13... yet notice it doesn't deny miracles from continuing to happen in His Holy Name.

This is one example of how verses from Scripture are applied in a very narrow and misunderstood manner, or simply misquoted in order be applied to something else.

There is a testing of the spirits and a warning not to believe everything you see, but when an event brings glory to God, and the Name of God is praised, and there is no 'bad' to be realized... to deny such good works is to deny the Gospel message.

This was not the only incorrect thing taught to me.

How wrongly I was taught when it came to things only individual experience from the Way can show to one's mind and heart.

How foolish such teachings have been, not only in my upbringing in the faith, but in the upbringing of many believers throughout the centuries since the Lord rose to heaven.

Such teachings are steeped in doubt and pessimism.

They stem from mere opinions in the place where faith should be.

Unfortunately, they are human arguments attempting to limit what God is able and willing to do.

In short, I have seen and heard... and I've shared publicly in person and in this blog some of the magnificent things God has done in my life and in the lives of those around me.

There are things I am not currently at liberty to share... but I can share this video that is unrelated to me regarding me not being physically present, but the Holy Spirit in me, as in those sanctified in Christ, was surely present the day that little girl was healed... and in that way it is very much related to me (and you if you believe).

It is always God who testifies.

That video is yet another testament to God's power and His ability to do as He pleases.

It is man's faith (or lack of it) that may determine what God can (or cannot) do through or in someone.

It is a lack of focus on things Above, and possibly ignorance of what God said He will do after returning to heaven before returning in Spirit, and several other things.

Let us focus on what God said and what He did and what He said is possible.

Let us fan the flames of faith, my dear brothers and sisters... and praise His Holy Name!

He is willing... and greater things shall be witnessed:
While Yeshua was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Yeshua, he fell with his face to the ground and begged Him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Yeshua reached out His hand and touched the man. “I Am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
- Luke 5: 12-13
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I Am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask Me for anything in My Name, and I will do it.
- John 14: 12-14
And where God does not bring a miracle to fruition or something faithfully expected, consider what greater good God has in store for those who love Him.
