|Colossians 3: 1-4|
Every year we hear about the “state of the city”, “the state of the state”, and the “state of the union”.
These are speeches written by people, and where they draw their inspirations can vary widely.
Our individual “state of mind” is ours to author and authorize.
We have a choice in our state of mind's inspiration.
We choose what to input and what to extract.
My inspiration is rooted and built upon Jesus as Lord; He who revealed Himself as the I Am, the God of Israel.
It is imperative how we build, and what we build upon, in authoring our state of mind and heart.
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things Above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things Above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
