Navigating Fear, Arriving At Love

Fear.
Some people fear other people, or ideas, the unknown, or tomorrow.
What is the only 'thing' that should be feared?
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Matthew 10: 28
Fearing only God clarifies what is typically confusing in this world.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
- Proverbs 1: 7
To fear God means measuring right from wrong in your heart.
Conscience.
Knowing that God sees your thoughts and the condition of your heart is why this information leads to wisdom.
You come to realize nothing is hidden from God.
Thus a motive exists to behave, since no man “gets away” with anything.
Such a motive is for your own good, so you don't destroy yourself (and others)... so His good will can be realized in your life (and others).
The fear of the Lord leads to love for God... so fear may be eventually extinguished.
There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

The process... includes growing pains.
The journey that refines our faith by fire... produces maturity.

When we come to understand He has always loved us, that before we existed in the flesh He had us in mind... we may ponder the responsibility we have been given.
We may be granted a glimpse at the high position He has given us at His table.
To realize and be found in His Love is the most wonderful and wondrous place to 'be' while on earth / still in the flesh.
Wherever your seat may be, when you understand you have not only been invited, but have been allowed to participate in His Divine Nature... cascading humility is one experience.
It is such knowledge leading to wisdom, such fear leading to perfect love, that helps us consider how reckless and ridiculous sin is... but now much more motivating His love is.
Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may participate in the Divine Nature,
having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
