Evidence That Christ Is The Rock Upon The United States Was Built... And May Be Broken

His eyes see all of man's endeavors.

There are factors in life that reveal man's intention and interest.

When men move from one place to another, they ponder on the help and support of God (or their best understanding of 'God').

The manner 'God' is understood determines their success, or their semblance of truth among the various identities derived from God concepts.

Whether or not man's intention is fully realized, or adhered-to thereafter, is another factor.

In this article I share some historical writings and their content.

The context changes (as time passes), while the content is typically self-evident (it defines and interprets itself in its own time frame).

I suggest reading through the links for the broader message of each quote.

As I understand things, men of faith incorporated their faith into governments they enacted for themselves and onto whatever landmass they came to occupy.

Besides the nearsightedness of such men (as all men have their certain nearsightedness), and despite their cultural sins that persisted (or still persist), I suggest looking at the bigger picture.

The bigger picture being: men of faith, the faith in Yeshua as Christ and Lord (and thus a specific definition of 'God'), invoked the continuation of what Christ established long ago elsewhere on earth.

Thus, from the earliest of constitutions to present 'American' laws, the aim was for all things to be secured and fashioned according to this basic principle.

The basic principle and foundation that Christ is Lord and God.

It is the teaching of Christ that these men acknowledged, relied upon, and desired to live their lives through.

Despite the less than perfect manner the actions of such men had failed, the invocation and acknowledgment is notable and the point here.

By looking at the foundation, we can define all other laws and aims of men that fail to conform, or submit, to the proclamation that Christ is Lord (and thus the Ultimate Authority).

Thus, those laws and notions that had in their time contradicted (or later came to contradict) Christ, can be argued to be null and void

After these historical quotes, I will share another invocation that seems (in my view) to have brought detriment onto their aspirations.

From the eastern hemisphere, the 'old world', came an ideal that Today is sought the world over.

Here we read the faith, being mentioned from a Spanish perspective:
With a hand that could be felt, the Lord opened my mind to the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. . . . This was a fire that burned within me, who can doubt that this fire was not merely mine, but also of the Holy Spirit [?]
(Christopher Columbus, writing about his first voyage to the west, 1492)
In the following, an early notable invocation of gratitude on what came to be called 'the new world' from a French perspective:
We sang a psalm of Thanksgiving unto God, beseeching Him that it would please Him to continue His accustomed goodness towards us.
(prayer invocation by de Laudonnière, at Fort Caroline [Florida], 1564)
That mention of a 'psalm' refers to the prayers of king David from that biblical book.

The following shows another early governmental invocation, from an English perspective:
In the Name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten… Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith… Do by these Presents, solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation… Anno Domini; 1620

The development of the first concept of 'state' in the Americas, from another English perspective:
... the Word of God requires, that to meintein [sic] the peace and union of such a people, there shall bee [sic] an orderly and decent government established according to God, to order and dispose of the affaires [sic] of the people at all seasons... 
(Constitution of Connecticut, 1638)
After further development of government and ideals within the context of Christ as Lord, the following brings into communion a common faith in Christ.

When certain men sought to escape what they perceived as tyrannical and unlawful governance.

This, I infer, is an initial deviation from the spiritual communion already established... argued as 'division' due to men's personal aspirations.

Yet 'Nature's God' is invoked, and that 'God' had already been acknowledged to be Christ the Lord:
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. 
(Declaration of Independence, first paragraph, 1776)
Lastly, we read from the collection of several states who acknowledged Christ as Lord and expressed the definition of 'God'.

Notice the bedrock of U.S. government was invoked to be built on proclaiming Christ as Lord:
... done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independance of the United States of America the Twelfth In witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names,...  
(U.S. Constitution, part of Section VII, 1787)
It is argued that men desired to separate themselves from a religious hierarchy that, to them, became obstinate and unreliable regarding the freedoms mentioned in the Gospel and letters of Christ.

The 'detriment' I previously mentioned, I think, is seen in the manner certain men wrote their laws and their intentions to better pursue their freedoms while opening a door of disregard for God's law and already established order.

In desiring to avoid being subject to certain religious groups who hold authority over things eternal (loosened on earth and loosened in heaven), some men attempted to place a wall between God's kingdom and their own kingdoms.

This, as I understand things, was a detrimental move on their part.

However, this 'wall' was long ago prophesied to be obliterated:
In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. 
It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 
This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a Rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. 
The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future. 
The dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy.

When studying what exactly God established through His kingdom, or the Church, notice that it was through 'Christ' as King that God's kingdom was established.
In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was One like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. 
He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into His Presence. 
He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; 
all nations and peoples of every language worshiped Him. 
His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. 
- Daniel 7: 13-14
As you can read for yourself, God's kingdom is one that circumvents all kingdoms of men and puts them to rest.

God's kingdom is one which includes all nations and peoples and languages of men.

This kingdom of God shall never end, but instead continues to grow forevermore.

So when men, in their best efforts to make for themselves a more 'just' form of government, decided to place a 'veil' or 'wall' between the Church of God (kingdom) and their ideal government, they brought detriment upon themselves.

This detriment is evidenced where one man may appeal to 'freedom' while arguing for the right to be depraved.

By doing so, they dishonor God with their words and manners and bring disrepute onto God's kingdom.

The detriment is when men decided to convey laws according to their mind's wisdom (which is foolishness) when they abandoned the very Rock their predecessors invoked through faith.

The notion of 'separation of church and state' needs to be revisited if men desire to followthrough with honorable government.

The definitions of what is true from false, right from wrong, natural from unnatural need to be understood through Christ, not through a man's faulty logical argument.

Nature's God has already explained what is in accordance with His providence and what is not.

Only when men turn away from their idolatry of government and submit once again to the foundations already present in the laws invoking Christ as Lord can law be understood clearly.

Only then can man's law be differentiated from God's law... and the two reconciled.

Only then can the kingdom of God be understood to be living in, and among, and beyond those who desire to further their exploits of bringing all things under Christ. (name whichever government entity Today and their aspirations for global domination)

If not, God will replace the current regimes of men with nobles that will profess His kingdom... and no effort of men, nor their physical armies, nor their law writing, can prevent the God of heaven (even Christ the Lord) from establishing His will on earth.
