Learning From The Monarch: Part 2

To me, this image represents the Church enlivened by the Holy Spirit (dove atop all).
Much how Mother Mary gave birth to the archetype of Perfection for mankind,
so are men born into Mother Nature and called to a new life through the vessels of the Church.
We who believe are called to become a royal priesthood, a noble family of
dukes and duchesses, princes and princesses, kings and queens... proper managers of God's earth.
In Part 1, I shared a little bit about the Monarch Butterfly.

When looking at the pattern God set in motion in His ancient Church, we can make some relative connections to this butterfly.

These patterns are still evidenced in the believers the world over, even His Church invisible according to the kingdom He has established.

We can also learn bout God's patterns when looking at a variety of other creatures.

I believe there is so much to learn from what God has provided us on earth.

When looking at the oceans, trees, plants and animals, there are lessons for life in them.

When pondering God's message to our hearts, we are able to conceive what else He is teaching us when looking at the material realities He has created.

Consider the Monarch's work.

This butterfly helps pollinate many plants and trees everywhere it goes.

Thus it has an integral role in life on earth, and play a vital role adding to man's sustenance.

Notice the Monarch is a transnational.

From MonarchWatch.org

When looking at this creature through the lens of man's mind (which is the default status through which mankind perceives, conceives, and speaks his ideas - called anthropomorphism), we can see the following:

- any given generation can be born in one of three different 'countries', thus having varying 'citizenships' from grandparent, to parent, to current offspring

- it is very interesting how the summer and spring areas closely resemble the U.S.'s political borders

- the western butterflies may not fly alongside the eastern butterflies (Rocky Mountains a natural 'border')

Not all butterflies regenerating in the north during summer months reproduce as they make their way south.

Some linger in the area and do not reproduce... and this is a mystery as to why.

This is similar to how some believers choose to be lifelong missionaries.

Some believers have chosen not to have children but instead adopt a few (personally) or many children (the Church) the Lord sends their way.

Other believers continue in the typical course of human life and have offspring.

Yet both groups, similar to the Monarch, establish a legacy evidenced in the outcome of their work.

Both the missionary butterfly (non-reproducing) still adds to the pollination work.

This is like the missionary believer who continues to plant seeds here, water seeds there.

The believers who resemble the natural course of human activity build legacies through their children.

Those children (if raised in the Lord) build further legacies through which His Name is praised.

Either way (and all scenarios in between), His Name is praised.

This particular butterfly feeds and hatches their eggs on the milkweed plant, which is poisonous to most other creatures.

In turn, this poisonous property causes the butterfly to look as it does (red, black, orange).

Similarly, it could be said what the believer 'feeds on' is like poison to those who do not believe, or those perishing.

The eating of that which nourishes the believer, yet is like the stench of death for others, also causes our appearance to be a certain way.

The Monarch has a metamorphosis that a believer similarly goes through.

The butterfly is born looking very different from its host parent, as are some believers.

It is only through a process of first being a 'worm' (literally and metaphorically) that the creature eventually becomes what it was destined to become.

After a time in a cocoon, going through a rigorous and absolute change, what went in as a worm is born again as a butterfly!

In went something that was crawling slowly and defenseless, like a child, and out comes a creature with wings to soar... as the born again believer becomes in so many ways.

Although the generation that makes its way back to the wintering areas is far removed from the generation that left such areas, the returning offspring somehow knows exactly where to go.

Such is the manner children who are raised in the Lord, although traversing many places away from 'home', may eventually return to the Way and find their home.

Notice how these butterflies are not divided over being from Mexico, or from the United States, or from Canada.

Obviously, these are anthropomorphic projection onto nature (which, again, is a typical default thing that man does in his mind and heart).

But you do get the point.

They are first and foremost creations of God.

They are called Monarch butterflies by humans, but we do not know what they call each other (if anything ;)

Yet they recognize one another not as different nationalities or from different places (as people do), but as one - the same - unified - a family.

This is exactly what God has established in His Church... yet many 'Christians' haven't a clue.

They are often clueless, or may perhaps acknowledge this truth, but fail to live it out due to their mind's confusion stemming from man's ideas.

Politics, religions, nationalities, and other things of this world that confuse the Way of God and His kingdom's reality on earth.

But if man were to learn from God's creation, even the plants and animals and the tiniest of creatures, perhaps man will better 'see' the kingdom God has provided him while on earth.

Perhaps man can recognize his natural patterns, how they should reflect creation's patterns, and thus learn to live a well-managed existence while on earth.

Realize who you are, dear friends and fellow nobles in God's kingdom on earth.
