From Vessel To Vessel To Vessel

It amazes me how the message of Christ developed. Today, practically every language, nation and people on earth praise His Holy Name! A testament to a faith-filled message that sprouted from the lips of a man named Yeshua. He came from an unregarded little town in a notorious province of that time's empire.

Unlike religions, movements and political examples in history, the faithful message of a man who raised to life after being murdered was not spread by force, compulsion or manipulation of its promoters. For the first 300 years, the message spread by love, by service and by martyrdom. It spread by illogical and impractical means. It spread miraculously. Attempts to extinguish the flames of faith by force, murder, intimidation and slander only fueled the flames of this faith. The faith saturated every economic class, every ethnic variety and every position up to the highest political levels.

The mystery of Christ reached a temporary zenith when proclaimed by that empire's king. The proclamation of 'who' God is, much like in the times of Joseph, Daniel and Moses, was once again trumpeted throughout that time's civilization. Yeshua was proclaimed Christ, the King of kings, Lord of lords, the fulfillment of 'God with us.'

Although the faith was eventually made a religion by men, the love and service continued beyond the walls of Rome. Though the example of Christ's love began ebbing away from politicized bishop's, the faith flowed quietly through the hearts of both the high and low. The message continued manifesting itself in those who were destined to believe it.

FOR TO US A CHILD IS BORN, TO US A SON IS GIVEN, AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE ON HIS SHOULDERS. AND HE WILL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE.

- Isaiah 9: 6
