Coming Out Of The Mud... Again

Have you ever caught yourself after having stepped into some mud?

Don't you hate it when you didn't see the puddle of mud as you were walking on your path, but now that you sense your feet are heavier, you begin to take inventory?

You notice that yes in fact you do have mud on your feet.

You may be surprised.

Some are not so surprised or don't even notice.

We can sometimes notice those who haven't a clue about their dirty feet, can't we?

Sometimes, it is much easier to point out the mud on the feet of others, but not our own.

The fresh mud sometimes covers up the old mud which hasn't been removed.

Perhaps you can tell your feet are dirty because you keep your feet clean as best you can.

Maybe you consider that it is eventually going to happen, so you simply leave the mud there.

But what happens when you try to bring your dirty feet into your home?

Now you have a mess in your home.

Now it is clear to others that you stepped in the mud, again.

Now instead of your feet being dirty, now your home's floors are dirty.

Too bad we cannot see the mud puddles sometimes.

At times, the mud puddle is evident.

We can see it up ahead.

Other times, it appears within a second's notice.

And unfortunately, we sometimes see and decide to head right into that mud puddle.

It is a humiliating experience when I see that I have mud on my feet.

It is even more humiliating when someone points out that mud.

A challenge arises when you have the choice to deny there is any mud or face the facts.

Let us always be willing to notice and clean our muddy feet.
