What Grace Sounds Like

If your heart secretly sees grace as a license, as permission to do as you please Today or in the future, you may not (yet) understand.

Some live like writing bad checks, oblivious to consequences, not (yet) realizing that Grace motivates us to cease acting upon ill intentions, desires and struggles; thoughts we carry inside our hearts which are not of the light, not kosher and unjustifiable before the eyes of Him who sees the unseen, even our hearts.

Grace compels us to do good works.

The struggle is real, yet we rejoice that He triumphed over The Greatest Struggle... the struggle which none of us could have overcome.

Guilt, from the instigation of the accuser, can be pervasive and debilitating for some of us.

Let us not forget that while this flesh of ours counts for nothing, the strength of the Spirit can not be compared to the weakness of the flesh.

The strength always prevails over the weakness.

It prevails when the choice is made to pursue the strength and not entertain the weakness.

Yet, the weakness of the flesh should not be equated to weakness of faith, that is, unless we doubt the True strength the hopeful believer has within them.

This is where faith meets prayer; faith and prayer cohabitation.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

- 1 Corinthians 10: 13

Preceding this verse humility is messaged; humility before God and before the waging battle.

The battle isn't within us alone, but in the heavenly realms; places too difficult to fathom.

Rely and depend on His strength.

He has already triumphed!
