What Can Man Do To Me?

Fear /noun/

an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

If you have been listening too long to news propaganda, you may have already been infected by the fear bug.

This sickness attacks your better judgment, suspends your reasoning and eventually infiltrates your heart.

The basis of racism, hatred, indifference and suspicion has its root in fear.

Some people are fearful of losing their identity, for they have honored ideas and notions learned over time.

If you take pride in your last name, your ancestral heritage, the religion you were born into, the ethnicity you identify with or the land mass you have been taught is somehow a part of you, you most likely fear those people who are different from these ideas you hold near and dear to your heart.

If you believe the testimony found in Scripture which professes that we are all derived from a single bloodline, from a single source, then why would you fear your relative either near and far?

If you instead identify with later ideologies, later religious ideas, later professions disguised as truth, good and honorable, yet perceive those who look different, speak a different language, perceive the world and its God differently, then you may have allowed the ideas of men to cause the sickness of fear to poison your heart and mind.
“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
“Whoever acknowledges Me before others, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before others, I will disown before My Father in heaven.”
- Matthew 10: 26-33
If anyone acknowledges that Yeshua is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Yeshua. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because He first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
- 1 John 4: 15-20
