Independent, Interdependent Or Unaware?



What does the term independence / independent mean?

1. The state or quality of being independent.

2. Archaic: Sufficient income for comfortable self-support; a competence.

May I ask: are you truly “independent”?

Do you grow your own food, author and seal your own documents / contracts / agreements / treaties / proclamations?

Are you not factually interdependent; dependent on employers, systems of government and many other human beings in order to feed, house, clothe and support yourself?

Here is a list of over 180 countries who believe themselves to be independent in some way and celebrate an independence day. Some go back a thousand years, but the reader of history can see that the pursuit of independent's idea going back further.

Didn't real independence day manifested when Yeshua was raised from the dead over 2,000 years ago?

In a short time thereafter the fire-works manifested themselves when His Holy Spirit fell upon His disciples.

Yeshua proclaimed an independence aside from citizenship status of that time's empire.

He showed peace is independent of outer exploits, but realized through the inner dialogue between your heart and His Spirit.

Religiously speaking, He is the high priest the believer answers to beyond men in flowing robes.

Politically speaking, He is the King which holds absolute temporal authority besides those who make themselves kings.

Spiritually speaking, He lives forever despite His flesh being destroyed; thus proving that the flesh is transitory while the spirit lives forever.

We see Yeshua proclaimed the Way to worship God, teaching close communion and an everlasting relationship with the Father.

What Yeshua introduced was the Holy Spirit, and with this the realm of the unseen among the seen.

Isn't the freedom celebrated Today the freedom proclaimed in the Gospel and lived out by its adherents all over the known world?
